Yoga for Stress and Anxiety
For a lot of us, anxiety and stress are an all too familiar feeling throughtout our life. For some, it's occasionally, and, for others it can be daily. This yoga flow is designed to unwind the mind to be more present and grounded. SUGGESTED PROPS: 1 Strap, 1 Block
The F Words
There are two F words that influence every choice that we make. Those words are fear and faith. In this class we explore connecting deeper with our spiritual nature to release fears and to move with faith. In doing so, we strengthen the core, trusting in who we are and we allow ourselves to lengthen our body in poses to prove to ourselves that we can overcome and move beyond our own limitations and fears. SUGGESTED PROPS: 2 Blocks, 1 Strap, 1 Bolster
Open Your Heart
When our heart is open the world is a brighter place. During this class we explore heart-opening backbends and shoulder openers to experience more love, compassion, forgiveness and balance.
Getting Back To It Flow
This class has a little bit of everything. Great after a holiday weekend or trip away. Twist, open your heart and hips love! OPTIONAL PROPS: 1 Block
Yin and Yang Detox
This practice is filled with intense heat-building, dynamic movements contrasted with long holds and still, breath-filled stretches. When we practice in this way, we churn up tension, stale thought patterns, and all that is negative, leaving our bodies and minds feeling pure cleansed and nourished. This class is filled with yummy twists to further detoxify the body as well as playful arm balance and inversion options for those who want an extra challenge.
Energizing Flow
This is your practice for the days you want to feel more energized or the days you have lots of excess energy to expend. We will do energizing breathing techniques, sun salutation variations, inversions and backbends to energize the body. After all the energy expansion we will get grounded with hip openers and a healing savasana.
Balance and Core
This class uses flow and cross body balance to build strength. All the effort is building towards a playful end. This class is a good prep for handstand.
Royal Heart and Hips
In this class we will open our shoulders and hips, preparing the body to explore Royal Pigeon. As we open our hearts we merge past heartache into present wisdom! SUGGESTED PROPS: 2 Blocks, Strap
Yin for Travel on Planes, Trains and Automobiles
This class is designed to open your body up. To help reduce the impact that traveling has on your body. It will help cope with the stresses that traveling has on your mind. SUGGESTED PROPS: Bolster, Strap, Block
Root Down to Rise Up
We Root Down by connecting to the muscles in the legs and core to find an inner spiral in the body. With the inner spiral engaged, we use the core and the bandhas to Rise Up, to lengthen the spine and to create more space in the body to breathe. With an ease of breath, sometimes poses that once seemed impossible are more accessible so we'll explore arm balances and twists while maintaining the space we've created for the breath. OPTIONAL PROPS: Block, strap, bolster or blanket
Create Tapas With Back Bending and Core
Santosha means contentment in Sanskrit it is the second of the 5 niyamas in yoga. We practice finding Santosha in Core strengthening, twisting, and balancing postures which focus on the core.
Lengthen Strengthen & Restore
We begin this class by lengthening the muscles that are often tense and can cause low back problems. After finding and understanding these muscles, we move to strengthening the core and outer hips through various standing poses and vinyasa. Finally, from the inner heat we've built and the deeper understanding of the body, we return to poses that lengthen and stretch our major muscles groups. A great class if you are experiencing low back pain. *Please soften the knees and don't fold completely in forward bends if you are experiencing Sciatica or Piriformis Syndrome. SUGGESTED PROPS: a bolster or rolled up blanket
